Inspired by the 2011 “Foodie Friday” dinner party, the Tweed Foodie Fest was created to celebrate local food and food culture. This year the food festival is bringing awesome foodie events, tours as well as cooking classes.

Head over to Wharf Street, Murwillumbah on December 3 from 4pm to 11pm. The biggest dinner party is showcasing only the best Tweed cafes and restaurants which will be offering a $6 and $12 tasting plates. To guide you on your food journey, make sure to use the Taste the Tweed food trail map. This will make it easier for you to explore and taste the diverse gastro-culture of Tweed.
Just a little reminder. Entrance is free; however, you need to book a seating in advance as well as coupons which serves as currency on the day of the festival. These can be purchased online. Moreover, prizes will be given to the best decorated tables. So why not book a table for the family and friends and decorate it?

Taste of Tweed Master Class – Held every first Wednesday of the month, locals and visitors are welcome to join one of the local chefs. Meet the growers and buy the ingredients at the Murwillumbah Farmers Markets. Then head back to the kitchen to cook up some mouth-watering dishes.
Explore the Tastes of the Tweed – If you’re not into cooking or would like to explore Tweed, join the Tastes of the Tweed tour. Visit the local farm and gardens, meet the local producers and gain insight. Come lunch time you will taste the Tweed specially prepared by the local chefs.
